iamamiwhoami: t

Above this world, now back again
Millions of years, where it all began
And there’s a hold
For the savior who had the purest of heart
Let this be with you soon

There’s a new world laid at your feet
We build an army from nothing
We raise our children to the beat
Of this comforting battle

Before the dark
Sought against our ways and means
We’re now against our own uphold, ’til we find a cure
And another path into the deepest hole

Behind all insecurity
There is wall of assurance
She is her own worst enemy
She fights her battles for no one

There’s a new world laid at your feet
We build an army from nothing
We raise our children to the beat
Of this comforting battle

They are singing for a new beginning
You know by now
Water fills her lungs and she’s inhaling
You feel that now
Underneath the stars her body’s sinking
You know by now
The air is silent, not a sound

You walked my life, you took it back
We made you sing, now turn the clock
There’s a was or a something new
Throw my body at the stars
Where the angels look

They are singing for a new beginning
You know by now
Water fills her lungs and she’s inhaling
You feel that now
Underneath the stars her body’s sinking
You know by now
The air is silent, not a sound

Speed Dealer Moms

Name: Speed Dealer Moms
Category:Electronic music
Description:In 2008, Aaron Funk (Venetian Snares) & John Frusciante
(RHCP) joined forces to create 'Speed Dealer Moms'.

In August 2008, John & Aaron spent two weeks in Winnipeg recording many hours of music together. The songs are said to be very lengthy with the official Myspace stating:
"all of our tunes are too long to fit on the side of a record or in a myspace player so you have to imagine what they sound like. that might be better anyways because you could imagine them to sound however you like!"

In January 2009 it was announced that Speed Dealer Moms would perform a live 303 & 808 analogue set at Bang Face Weekender in Camber Sands during 24th-26th April 2009, where Aaron would also be appearing as 'Venetian Snares'.

Unfortunately, due to technical difficulaties, Speed Dealer Moms were unable to play at Bang Face. Not only were fans extremely disappointed but Aaron and John were both totally gutted after putting 6 months of work into their performance.

This performance has now been postponed and it was announced that they are hoping to perform at the Bang Fest in August 2009! The organisers of Bang Face and the members of SDM are working as hard as they can to make this happen.

Marina and the Diamonds – ‘Oh No!’

Heavily stylised video by Kinga Burza for Marina’s single ‘Oh No!’. It’s kind of a bland, brightly-coloured pop video in truth.

Janelle Monae – ‘Tightrope’ – Wondamix feat. Lupe Fiasco & B.O.B

Saw Janelle in London last night – absolutely stonking gig. Another post to follow. Here’s an alt version of ‘Tightrope’.

Babe Rainbow – ‘Combed’

this video is a discombobulating trip into a paranoid brightly-coloured world soundtracked by Vancouver artist Babe Rainbow’s fragmented electronic music.

iamamiwhoami part 12: this song is awesome

This song is great, an incessant bass drone, a feeling of a complete whole of a tune. Definitely their most complete song to date. They seemed to have dispensed with the meaningful revelatory visuals this time around, unless you’re a tin foil fetishist. It seems to draw influence from Where The Wild Things Are.vocalist: Jonna Lee but it hardly matters anymore.
